Teaching Spanish online to Amy, a 5th grade Chinese student. This is her last work. She came up with this all on her own. She made this poster and made copies and placed them all around her bedroom. I just wanted a much simpler thing 😉😜 but she went all in hahahah

After a long silence due to my recurred cancer, brain surgery, radiation, recovery, and now treatment, I think it’s time I come back to be present on LinkedIn. I’m thinking about another free webinar on reporting. The academic year is coming to an end and report card comments are at the door. Keeping subjectivity out of the comments is paramount. Hi there! I said I would post less, but I didn't say I would not post anything at all. First, thanks to all those who joined the link to get updates about my new journey with #cancer. As I said, just having you there gives me strength. I just wanted to let you know that you don't need to write anything. Sometimes, we can't find words that sound better than usual. I designed these posters for the child I'm giving classes online. Many teachers don't explain MYP to new grade six students, so my little student knew nothing about it when we talked. I tried to use words that he and others like him (new to MYP) could easily understand. Please use them with your students. They go well with all grades. We often assume our students (and parents) know what MYP is about. More often than not, they don't. Maybe the wording can be further simplified. I'll post new ones after my young student gives me his feedback. Stay tuned.
