ASH (est.1953) is one of the most established international schools in the Netherlands. We are a private, not-for-profit institution that, at every level of organization, focuses on enhancing the student learning experience. From Pre-Kindergarten through High School graduation, we encourage ASH students to take control of their own learning. ASH is the only school in the Netherlands offering both AP and IB, and a full-inclusion program of learning support. ASH students consistently outperform global averages, and supported by our dedicated College Counseling Office, they find their ways into esteemed institutions of higher education across the globe.

Then, they requested the purchase of new books that represented not only the diversity within their school but also the broader world. The students' book recommendation list included the works of: Walter Dean Myers, Claribel A.   The Middle School students had an intensively inspiring week learning about the undertakings of the rewarding career of journalism alongside Emmy-nominated producer, writer, and freelance journalist Nora Neus. While Nora was covering the war in Syria in 2018, she met Muhammad Najem, a 15-year-old boy who was reporting about the war himself. Their collaboration began, and their story as co-authors unfolded from there.Nora guided the students through the journey of crafting a graphic novel, highlighting the profound impact of storytelling, whether as a journalist or an author, on the world.Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/e7JHxUkR

  It was a pleasure to welcome Burgemeester Leendert (A.W.) Lange, de and the aldermen of the municipality of Wassenaar to campus this week. We are grateful for the opportunity to share a glimpse of life at ASH with leaders in our local community who work to take care of our town. Greeted by a theater performance of High School Musical Jr., Burgemeester De Lange and the aldermen toured campus and explored our classrooms and learning spaces. At the Early Childhood Center, they connected with students from different grade levels who discussed their ongoing service activities and projects: from student leaders of the Sustainability Club to the recent Sustainable Development Goal Trips.
